SATURDAY SWIM
If you have a child with a physical disability you are welcome to join us for a swim. We know that it is often difficult for families to access community facilities for lots of different reasons.
We also know that swimming is a popular activity amongst the children and young people we work with. We limit the numbers in the pool for your comfort and safety, so booking is essential.

Yorda Adventures run a variety of projects that
seek to support families who have children with disabilities. Very occasionally we target a project
at a specific group, for example those with Autism or those with physical disabilities.
To see the projects that are coming up in the next few months please take a look at our blog.
We recommend that you also join our mailing list so that you know when we have released new dates.
If you have any questions about any of our projects, please contact Charlotte Amison on 07545 974734 or email her via our contact page.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
We work in partnership with Dysart School to run their after school club for working parents, funded by RBK Early Years department. The club provides the specialist childcare needed for parents to increase their working hours or to go back out to training and employment.
This level of specialist childcare is difficult to find and our After School Club always has a waiting list. Whilst we try to provide spaces for as many young people as possible each night, we are restricted by our funding. We are often asked if we only provide this service to parents at Dysart School.
At the moment the answer is yes, we only run extended schools services at Dysart at the
present time.
Ages welcome: 5-19yrs
Cost: £7.50 per session plus £2.50 per session
for those wishing to use the bus service..

PLAY SCHEME
The school holidays can be a difficult time for families. The young people we work with often like the structured nature of the school day and, as we all know, home life just isn’t like that.
Our play schemes allow families a few hours break in the day, so they can spend time with other siblings, do some housework, go to work or have a well earned rest. We try and run play schemes in as many school holidays as possible.
The activities are all out and about in the community and as with all our projects, we tailor our plans to fit the young people we are catering for. Keep an eye on our blog for our latest news and join the mailing list to hear when we release dates.
Ages welcome: 5-19yrs
Cost: a donation of whatever you can afford between £1 and £8.

ADVENTURE HOLIDAYS
Our Adventure Holidays are high quality short breaks for children and young people with disabilities.
For the young people that come along we offer a fun holiday, with opportunities to take part in leisure activities that are tailored to each group we take away.
For the families we offer a two night, three day break from the 24/7 job of care. This is an opportunity to spend time with other siblings and have a well earned rest.
